Saul Chase Shop

During the latter part of the 20th century, collectors worldwide eagerly acquired Saul Chase silkscreen prints from elite dealers, Pace Prints, Brooke Alexander, Barbara Gladstone, and Andrew Crispo. Major museums including the Metropolitan Museum of Art and The Smithsonian American Art Museum added this work to their collections. Between 1976 and 1981, Chase produced the 12 editions of screenprints that have become iconic New York imagery. Created in the medium by Saul Chase working alone in his Greene Street (Soho) studio, these exquisitely crafted prints required between 30-40 screens of incredibly precise hand cut stencil. The screenprint “Goya’ was a “Print of the Decade” selection in “Art News” magazine. The prints available on this website are from the artists personal collection and have been archivally preserved. .
